Judgment Day

A video on the theme of moral accountability based on the concept of the last judgment as proposed by Jesus. It makes sense that people should be held accountable for the way they have affected others. Justice is something we humans understand naturally. The requirement of justice is a lot like fairness.

The New Testament, from which much Christian doctrine is derived, speaks of an end to this present state of affairs. This 'evil age' it is called. Look around you will find it easy to decide this age is evil. Our society is rife with government sponsored economic oppression. The lives of families are worth less to the politicians making laws than the fiscal health of financial institutions.

This is a usurious society. For as long as the Jews have had the Torah usury has been considered a crime.   The charging of interest on a loan was forbidden by the God of the Christians, Jews and Muslims because it was understood to be a crime against the neighbor. It's not like they pay close attention to it but it's in holy book they read from. Usury is one way in which the poor are abused by the way of this age. The bible takes the side of the poor in this issue. Unlike congress which regards the poor with contempt, God cares for the poor and has justice planned for them.

Like Marie Antoinette who truly had it coming, I would not want to be in their shoes on the day of judgment when God's justice is revealed.

  I began with triangle shapes and when a theme appeared to me I added different images  I've photographed or created from photographs.  Jack and Qkjea are filling in as Elohim.  I may add more Elohim later on.

My plan was to explore the theme of the Elohim participating together in the creation of the human race and the rest of creation which arose from the imagination of the Creator. I have only included two representations of the Elohim.  Clearly, in the bible, there are more than two Elohim.

The Elohim talked together about the impending creation of mankind. "And God (Elohim) said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion". Creation is said to have begun when God separated light from darkness.  

If that is correct creation and existence are the result of the appearance and recognition of opposites. Light and Darkness could not be more opposite.  Before there was light in which forms manifest, there was nothing but 'darkness' empty of form, void, but enclosing, incorporating the origin of all forms. The darkness may be understood as the inscrutable thought and purpose of God.

Lao Tzu wrote of this in this way; J Legge translator:  I do think Lao Tzu was on to something five hundred years BC, give or take a few.  In verse 21 he wrote:

The grandest forms of active force

From Tao come, their only source.

 Who can of Tao the nature tell?

 Our sight it flies, our touch as well.

 Eluding sight, eluding touch,

 The forms of things all in it crouch;

 Eluding touch, eluding sight,

 There are their semblances, all right.

 Profound it is, dark and obscure;

 Things' essences all there endure.

 Those essences the truth enfold

 Of what, when seen, shall then be told.

 Now it is so; 'twas so of old.

 Its name--what passes not away;

 So, in their beautiful array,

 Things form and never know decay.

 How know I that it is so with all the beauties of existing things?

 By this (nature of the Tao).

The Way of the Tao' of Lao Tzu is what translators of the New Testament into Chinese use to communicate the  divine attributes of Jesus to a Chinese audience.  This is significant because in the New Testament Jesus is described as the active agent in creating human reality.  In this correlation is clearly seen the many sided (manifold) wisdom of God.

We see imperfectly.  All, myself included, hold ideas that will collapse like a house of cards. .  When the house of 'beliefs' falls, what remains as the object of faith when the dust settles is the Source of our being.  It is this Source to which faith is rightly directed.  It does not collapse because the Source transcends, infuses and undergirds all. I don't care what you call it. Elohim, Logos, Vishnu, Tao, Way, God; it makes no difference. A name does not change the essence of the Source.  It is your faith in the Source of your being that makes the difference.  The Source of being exists as the basis of all you are. Faith is the only key to the door of the Source of being. Belief and doctrine will let you down, faith will get you through.

In the gospels the faith of people praised most highly by Jesus were pagans.   The previous sentence holds a link to one such instance. This means religious formulas go out the window.  It is faith that counts in the spiritual world, because faith is where your heart is.  Being doctrinally correct was what Jesus condemned the religionists of his time for. They knew how to work the 'law of God' to their advantage. They ended up having Jesus killed to protect their religious beliefs.  You can figure it out if you have a mind to do so.

A video inspired by sunlight in a puddle. Next time you see a puddle remember what might be in it.

Tango With The Sun

I made some neat images from video clips of the sun reflected in a puddle.  My eye was captivated by the reflections of the sun and the tree branches along with the clouds in a fluid sky.  I used my phone camera and my Canon Rebel.  I took the video on separate days and each time the results were productive.

The objects reflected in the water are transformed by the properties of light.

I captured snapshots from window live movie maker and worked on them more fully with Paint.net. The pair of dancers is one of the images I worked on.  I needed them to dance together. I did the best I could and was pleasantly surprised at the result.

Light of the World: encountering the LOGOS

I have been meditating on the theme of the Messiah. The Messiah, as the story is told in the Bible, is the response of divinity to the plight of the human condition. We are held in bondage all our lives by the fear of death. Life itself is bittersweet at best. Jesus said each day comes with all the troubles necessary. Buddha summarized human life as 'suffering'.  But here we are in the middle of it.

Having been raised in a fundamentalist Christian family I am pre-disposed to understand society is going to hell in a hand basket. Some say such a view is preposterous. However I would offer to you this Coast to Coast discussion with remote viewing teacher Ed Dames.  His report should be an eye-opener. Below are the credentials he brings to the discussion.

" Edward A. Dames, Major, U.S. Army (ret.) is a decorated military intelligence officer and an original member of the U.S. Army prototype remote viewing training program. He served as the training and operations officer for the Defense Intelligence Agency's psychic intelligence (PSIINT) collection unit, and currently serves as executive director for the Matrix Intelligence Agency, a private consulting group."

It seems right to me to value the spiritual over the present.  In the LOGOS is an explanation that was able to answer my questions.  I can see in this philosophy that the Kingdom of God is based in reality.  It corresponds to the fact that consciousness is the foundation of reality.

It is becoming obvious those who have lead us here to the present state of affairs have no idea how to solve the problems accumulated on our trip to the present moment.  From what Major Dames says it's not going to be getting better.

Already predisposed to this conclusion I find this source which confirms the worlds darkest fears both discomforting and heartening.  Both he and Jesus seemed to have uncovered the same scenario.

It leads me to the conclusion the best condition to find myself in is in close relationship with the source of my existence.  In the LOGOS philosophy I find something that makes sense. When the LOGOS philosophy is clothed in the teaching of Christ it can illuminate humanity and bring peace of mind. It is a meme  which is able to completely transform consciousness.  (Jesus called his words 'seeds')

The visual images in "Magical Misperceptions" resulted from video of reflections in a puddle.  I saw it with my eye first and then decided something could be made from it.  I made the video and Bill provided the music. It works!

Angel of Light Prince of Darkness

The video below is the result of contemplating spiritual themes regarding the nature of mankind and what kind of society that nature produced.  It's the kind of society known as 'western civilization'. Western civilization is mankind's crowning achievement.

Looking around at the world around me it appears the human mind is a bottomless pit of creative influences constructing the future.

I approach this collective quagmire we call human society objectively as an observer would do. But I try to figure it out. My first question is:  "Why would anyone do something like this?"  The short answer is "for money."  Whatever was done, resulting in the present was done by a society bent on making money.

So that is an example of what Jesus understood to be the God of this age. He illustrates it here: "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon"

Since Jesus is commenting on money and his purpose in incarnating himself was to teach the gospel of the kingdom there is a spiritual link in the relationship of the mind of man and how it relates to money.

A God, in the way Jesus is using it, is that which is your 'ultimate concern'.  Your faith is the expression of devotion to your 'ultimate concern'. It mattered to Jesus that men trusted in diamonds and wealth and political power.  It mattered to him that men did this because he knew what they were missing.  This was not merely a major theme in his teaching.  Communicating this spiritual teaching of the Kingdom of God was the reason for his existence as Jesus of  Nazareth. 

Many people liked what they heard and then Jesus always raised the bar. The rich will find it the hardest of all when they have to make the choice. On top of that when Jesus told people his teaching of the spiritual knowledge of the Gospel of the Kingdom, sometimes people would say he was nuts, talking crazy talk. Or Devil possessed. 

Well I wasn't there of course.  For some reason I worship Christ, the Logos revealed in the pages of the New Testament. He claims there is spiritual warfare going on for the control of consciousness.  Christ's teaching on the Kingdom of God he understood as an antidote, and as a means of understanding the spiritual forces at work directing the events of the physical world before our eyes.


The art in the video below is made while thinking on the themes of a race of creatures who sold their birthright for a pile of gold and think they won. Creatures clinging to Carbon when they could be Children of Light.

The God of This Age

Below is a poem I wrote the other day.  I appreciate both the Buddhist and LOGOS centered explanations of human experience.  This poem reflects a synthesis of the two expressions of truth I have arrived at in my quest for faith and meaning.

Many religions have the understanding of one momentous age following another.  Jesus and his followers have designated what we have now as our experience of life as 'this present evil age'.

That seems like a fairly accurate description to me. Jesus lived under the thumb of a totalitarian world empire which used military might as a political tool just because it was effective.  So I wrote the poem.  I have had other poems published along the same theme.  "The Warlords" was published in aaduna.  You can read it by clicking the link.

A Reading of the Bill of Rights

Respect for the constitution is at an all time low. How do you feel about it?

A couple videos made with sorrow. We know what the President and many elected representatives think of it. How do you feel about it? The best politicians money can buy are generally bought by the wrong people.

Visitation: breakthrough to the other side

An invocation of the Spirit.

God and fire are intimately linked in the archetypal makeup of the human mind. God makes and sends his ministers as "flames of fire". The "Fire People" are here to help. And you know you need help making sense of this life which has a gravestone at the end and suffering all along the way as the governments pick your pockets clean and destroy your way of life by the decisions they make. The Beast has no conscience in the ordinary sense.  Keep asking for help. The "Fire People", the angels of God, will come.

 Christians have identified God as a consuming fire. Fire is that which releases the essence of what is burned. It is a refining, purifying process. This is foolishness to some. But inasmuch as it is foolishness their suffering increases along with their misery. The trip to the grave is much more difficult for those without faith as the governments of this age collapse the future, stealing everything worked for and hoped for on their miserable journey which has now taken on a distinct sense of despair and fear for their future.

Keep the faith baby.  It's going to get worse, much worse, before the light of a new day dawns. Those in charge of things now are merciless.




God is that to which we appeal in our helpless state and God is that which responds to our collective agonies from the soul of the universe. Cry, cry, cry, God will hear and send the "Fire People."

Attempted Jailbreak at the Kitten Hatchery

The kittens are the offspring of a feral mother. I befriended her and won her confidence after her previous period of gestation resulted in the death of all her kittens. She is no more than two years old herself.

I need to find homes for the little ones but I couldn't let them die on the porch so they're inside now.

Vision Quest

While working on the theme of Vision Quest I found a remarkable Youtube program "Words of the Prophets"  The website is devoted to exploring the themes of native spirituality.  If you're interested in such things you'll find this a rewarding channel to subscribe to. There are a rich variety of topics and speakers from different spiritual traditions.

The purpose of spiritual knowledge is to give the individual insight into the nature of his or her experience of being alive. Life itself is a vision quest.

I appreciate the teachings of Jesus, Buddha, Lao Tzu, Krishna, the Upanishads and others. I'm convinced the purpose of life is to wake up, or as Jesus said, come to yourself. 

At some point being alive will lead to the conclusion that the meaning of life is to grow old get sick and die while having as much fun as can be had before the end.  I suspect this is a common way of approaching the experience of life. This point of view leads inexorably to a harmful state of mind.

Religions which require the worshipper to 'believe' specific doctrines are harmful.  Once a person 'believes' something in this way he can not learn anymore. He or she must turn their brain off and repeat "I believe."  Not until he stretches the boundaries of that belief system can he see outside the walls of doctrine that enclose him. As soon as he does this he is called a heretic.  This has been known to lead to some terribly bad behavior by the 'true believers'. This behavior of course discredits any claim to virtue these religions have made about themselves.




Religion stands between God and man, keeping man from asking questions by giving him pat answers he is supposed to file away and use for help in time of spiritual crisis. In this way religion keeps the 'believer' in the dark.

Spiritual knowledge is different from belief systems. From truth comes knowledge.  Knowledge results when 'truth' is understood.  Simply assenting to a doctrinal belief is not able to impart knowledge.  Truth is an intellectual quality which becomes invigorating when a consciousness grasps its meaning and is born again.  Simply agreeing to the correctness of specific doctrines is not able to impart spiritual awakening or transform the mind in a helpful way.

When we are awake we 'know' who we are and what the actual nature of our being entails. Providing that knowledge which reveals our relationship with the source of being is the purpose of spiritual teaching.  If your teacher comes bringing a book of rules flee for your life.

What I have found interesting is some insight into a phenomenon referred to as the 'kingdom of God' which is the spiritual teaching Jesus brought to the world which he said would transform human consciousness and impart eternal being to the one in possession of that knowledge.

If a religious tradition is more about changing your behavior, doing the right thing and avoiding the wrong thing it will not transform the mind. It will transform your behavior and very likely make you feel self righteous and superior for all your good behavior and right beliefs. You will, however, be spiritually dead while being totally religious.

If a person wants to wake up he will find knowledge that wakes him up. That is just the way it works. If we seek we  find, if we knock the door will be opened. The universe is a friendly place at its core.  The sublime hidden in the vestures of religion reveals God is love.  But religion has a way hiding or corrupting that understanding.

Spirituality has appeal for many who look at the state of the world and recognize society operates on entirely different principles. Society as well as religion discriminates and builds partitions based on its laws. Religion is societies God and as it turns out society is the kingdom of the Beast spoken of in the mystical work of John.  In contrast spiritual teaching draws people together in love.
